Bronze struck medal with obverse showing left-facing bust-length portrait of Columbus as seen from behind, within laurel wreath; legend: "THE WORLD'S COLVMBIAN EXPOSITION/ CHICAGO 1893." Reverse shows view of Statue of Liberty with Manhattan in background; legend: "STATUE OF LIBERTY/ NEW YORK/ HEIGHT 298 FT."
