Silver struck medal with obverse showing uniformed facing bust of Marshal Foch; legend around line border: "COMMEMORATING.THE.VISIT.OF.MARSHAL.FOCH.TO.THE.VNITED.STATES"; date to left of bust: "MCMXXI"; seal of the American Numismatic Society with letters "A.N.S.", at right. Reverse depicts winged and armored female allegorical figure of Liberty, with round shield inscribed "US." Medal is inset into cream-colored square cardboard box.
