Copper-plated lead electrotype of Winfield Scott military medal with obverse showing uniformed bust of Scott facing right with legend: "MAJOR GENERAL WINFIELD SCOTT." Reverse bears inscription: "RESOLUTION/OF/CONGRESS/NOVEMBER 3. 1814./BATTLES OF CHIPPEWA/JULY 5. 1814./NIAGARA/JULY 25. 1814." enclosed within wreath of laurel and palm branches intertwined with serpent biting its own tail.
