Description:
Pair of yellow leather gloves lined with wool felt, the wrists have cuffs which are open vertically along one side.
Gallery Label:
These gloves belonged to Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (1824-1863), West Point graduate and General in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Ironically, after a successful career as a military strategist, he died of complications from gunshot wounds sustained by the gunfire of his own men.
