Description:
Cast silver plated flagon from a Bloomingdale Reformed Church Communion Service; circular body with straight sides tapering slightly from the stepped and molded base with a reeded band around the base to the plain, applied rim; two plain bands applied around the center of the body; cast, s-scroll handle tapers toward the heart-shaped terminus; handle applied below the rim and to the lower body with an oval joint; cast and hinged, circular, stepped and domed lid with an applied mouse-eared thumbpiece and cast hinge-plate with a shaped drop; applied, cast triangular spout; engraved on the base, "R. D. C. H." in script; no maker's mark.
