Description: 
Blue silk painted banner of the Sons of Rhode Island; red medallion in the center highlighted with gold decoration and the inscription, "The/ Sons/ of/ Rhode Island" in gold letters; above the medallion is an American bald eagle and below is a green swag with two tassels hanging from each side inscribed, "Organized May 1862"; at the bottom is a bundle of gold arrows; gold scroll border; gold silk fringe around the three fly sides; six navy blue ribbons across the top to tie to the black painted banner staff with acorn finials.
