Wool U.S. flag with forty-five cotton stars applied to the canton (three rows of eight interspaced with three rows of seven stars); thirteen red and white stripes; cotton hoist with metal grommets at each end.
This flag belonged to the donor's father, Bernard Goetz, of Philadelphia, PA. He lighted the Centennial Exhibition night-light reflectors in 1876.
