Eighty(?) comb black painted leather fire helmet; black leather frontpiece with firefighting tools painted at center and "[NY] / EXEMPT / ASSOCIATION / JS" in gold painted leather lettering; gilded brass eagle frontpiece holder with red, white, and blue ribbon on top of head; textile half-lining with cotton fiber padding.
