Hand-knitted white cotton bedcover; 168 separate octagonal pieces, each centering a pinwheel, sewn and knitted together; with crocheted edges and twisted cotton fringe.

According to the accession records, this bedcover was made for Mrs. Alexander Robertson Rodgers (Mary Ridgely Darden, 1809-1888), grandmother of the donor.
