Description: 
Iron cobble hoe with two tines in a v-shape; tines set a right angle to the long, cylindrical wooden handle.
Gallery Label: 
This cobble hoe was used to gouge stones out of the beds and beaches of the Deleware River. The stones were then taken to Philadelphia via flatboats and used to pave streets.
