Reverse depicts allegorical draped female figure reclining upon clouds and holding a light bulb, symbolizing the age of electricity; in background are the Hudson River with "Halve Maen" and "Clermont" and the New York skyline; legend: "MDCIX MDCCCVII/MCMIX".
