Description: 
Flat-folding black beaver (silk) chapeau with cock and fan tied together with black ribbon on either side, and band of black ribbon extending diagonally from lower edge on either side; black silk rosette with elliptical gold "loop" with gilded metal eagle insignia attached near top and button attached near botton; black ostrich feather plume; in black painted metal case with hinged lid and handle.
