Grover Cleveland was the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms. He won the popular vote three times in a row, but lost the Electoral College to Benjamin Harrison in 1888. This cane with a pewter handle depicting a portrait bust of the candidate represents a typical campaign cane of the era.
