Description:
A gold colored metal two-part medal. The top pin bar is a rectangular frame with embossed flourishes and inset with a celluloid covered printed paper with the words "Grand Aerie Convention/ Newark, N.J. Aug. 8 to 13, 1921". It is attached to the lower medallion by a faded red, white and blue striped silk ribbon. The lower medallion is embossed with a relief of an eagle with wings spread and head turned surrounded by "F.O.E./ L.T.J.E". This medal represents the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a fraternal social and philanthropic order involved in community charity and moral or social causes that promote "Liberty..., Truth..., Justice... and Equality...".
