A silver colored metal two-part medal. The top pin bar is a rectangular frame with embossed flourishes and inset with a printed paper with the word "Representative". It is attached to the lower medallion by a red, white and blue striped silk ribbon stamped in gold "54th Annual / Session/ Port Jervis, N.Y./ Sept 6-8, 1926. The lower medallion is a truncated square and embossed "N. Y. State Council". It has a raised, enameled circular plaque in the center that is white with a red and blue shield with gold calipers over a right-angle ruler and an arm holding a hammer and the letters "JrO/ UAM" surrounded by a laurel wreath. This medal appears to represent a chapter of the Free Masons, a mysterious and centuries old fraternal order involved in ritual celebrations, community and political service, moral education and philanthropy.
