The obverse is a green cross with enamel central medallion showing a castle; the reverse of the central medallion bears a lion motif. Baden, Order of the Lion of Zahringen.
The Order of the Lion of Zahringen of Baden was established by Grand Duke Charles Louis Frederick in 1812 in memory of his ancestors, the former Dukes of Zähringen.
