Walnut and oak Windsor-type armchair with comb back supported by four iron rods; slightly tapered, squared legs reinforced by pairs of side, front, and rear stretchers.
Gallery Label:
According to Nancy Goyne Evans, author of "American Windsor Chairs," this is either a late eighteenth-century chair with nineteenth-century additions or a Victorian chair using older spindles.
