Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Andrew Johnson facing right, with legend: "ANDREW JOHNSON, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES/1865." Reverse shows bust of George Washington atop altar inscribed "PEACE", with America to the right and, in the guise of Columbia, shaking hands with a Native American chief; implements of war and peace in the background.
