White, heavy-weight, machine-made, wove paper. Largest piece cleanly cut and folded in half. Other two pieces have torn edges. All three are dirty. One has staining from light damage.
According to the accession records, this tabouret was used by Asher B. Durand, an artist and engraver best known for his Hudson River school paintings.
