Meet Living Historians reenacting America’s past on weekends and holidays!

Have you ever wanted to meet people from history? What about handle awesome objects from long ago? Or learn a historical trade or military drill? Then join us to meet soldiers, musicians, famous leaders, and craftspeople from the past—all portrayed by Living Historians from the present!

Living History programs are free with Museum Admission—no RSVP required. So drop by and hang out as much as you’d like!

Starting July 4, journey back to the Revolutionary War, a time of cavalry, militia drills, metalsmiths, and spies! A Museum-wide celebration running through September 15, Revolutionary Summer showcases something new each weekend, when our outdoor courtyard becomes a Continental Army encampment. Visit a replica of George Washington’s Headquarters Tent, enjoy rousing fife and drum music, and meet fascinating Living Historians portraying early Americans from all walks of life. 

Programs are FREE with Museum Admission. The * indicates Washington’s Headquarters Tent and staff from MoAR (Museum of the American Revolution) are available all day during regular Museum hours.
